RC and FPV Gear questions, answered
Can a 1/24 crawler drive outside?
Yes, on terrain and obstacles that match its size and the vehicle's ground clearance. Small rocks, roots and gaps can be oversized obstacles for a micro rig.
Read: 1/10 vs 1/24 RC Crawlers →Can I upgrade a 1S RC vehicle to 2S?
Only if the manufacturer lists 2S as supported for the exact vehicle and its electronics. Do not infer compatibility from a matching connector or battery-tray fit.
Read: 1S vs 2S LiPo Batteries for RC Cars and Drones →Is a 2WD RC car harder to drive?
It has a distinct rear- or front-driven handling response, and loose surfaces can change traction. Test with a moderate throttle setting and the vehicle maker's recommended tires.
Read: 2WD vs 4WD RC Bashers →Is brushless always better than brushed?
For speed and efficiency, yes. For a cheap first car or slow, precise crawling, a good brushed motor is often enough.
Read: Brushless vs Brushed RC Motors →Will a 2.4 GHz ExpressLRS transmitter bind to a 900 MHz receiver?
No. The transmitter and receiver must use compatible hardware in the same band. Verify the exact radio and receiver specifications before ordering.
Read: ExpressLRS 2.4 GHz vs 900 MHz →Is analog FPV still worth it?
For budget builds, tiny whoops and racing with mixed equipment, yes. It is cheap, and almost every analog VTX is compatible.

Every pick lists scale, battery, connector and radio protocol so you know what works with what.
Each guide says who the gear suits, who should look elsewhere, and what to check before you buy.
Brands cannot buy a review or a spot on a list. Partner codes save you money; they never decide what we recommend.
Prices are dated, codes are updated across the site at once, and pages are revised when a product, standard or rule changes.
